Anugya Bhattarai received a Graduate Student Senate (GSS) Travel Award

Anugya Bhattarai has been awarded a Graduate Student Senate (GSS) Travel Award to attend the American Phytopathological Society’s Plant Health 2026 conference in Providence, Rhode Island.

This award, recommended by the GSS Travel Awards Committee at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville, supports her travel and research endeavors. The GSS Travel Award is a competitive funding opportunity that recognizes graduate students’ academic achievements and provides financial assistance for presenting their research at professional conferences.

Anugya will be presenting her work on wild grape disease resistance to downy mildew (caused by Plasmopara viticola ) at the APS Plant Health 2026 conference, which is a premier event for plant pathologists to share their latest findings and network with colleagues from around the world.
